A test failure during Phase 1most likely indicates a problem with the CHANNEL-OUT adapter installation. Test status messages may lead you directly to the problem. You can also check the following conditions.
Is the adapter installed correctly? Make sure you the adapter is firmly seated in the slot.
Is the adapter making a clean connection? Try cleaning the adapter’s gold-plated fingers with a pencil eraser.
Are there bent pins on the serpentine connectors In hardware, the couplers used to join cables or to join cables to devices.? Gently straighten the pins.
You can also view the System Event log. It contains information about the software events surrounding adapter and driver installation. Use the Windows Event Viewer to view the Event log.
