Page layouts are applied to documents according to a header field defined in the Advanced Printer Options dialog box. You can access this tab from the Configuration Utility.

A name set by the user when creating a registered page layout. At print time, a header field will be compared against the layout names to choose which layout to use. Remember to consider the size of the field when you name your layouts. For example, if the selected field is NDHGCLAS, then the name of the page layout will only be one character long. This is because the maximum length of the field value is one character.
